Hellan Fluid Systems Europe manufactures bespoke filtration skids with varying capacities and filtration levels for the conditioning of process and cooling fluids. Each skid is tailored to meet the requirements of the specific application.

Hellan Fluid Systems Europe has many years of experience across a broad range of industries. We can assist an end-user, or OEM, to develop the correct solution for their application. This can be a completely new design or enhancements of existing systems. We can also assist with the development and manufacture of systems already defined by others.

Hellan Fluid Systems Europe takes great pride in getting to know the application in detail to make workable solutions that are reliable and affordable. Our designs include full drawings in 3D CAD to ensure seamless integration of the finished skid on-site

System designs can comprise numerous elements as defined in the specification or application requirements. These usually include Filtration, Pumping, Flow and Pressure Regulation, and Temperature Control. The final configuration typically includes a smart instrumentation package for automatic control, data logging, and integration with an existing BMS. It is becoming standard to provide full redundancy to maintain critical system performance at all times.

Skids can utilize various filtration techniques. This may include the Hellan online cleanable strainer, a strainer from our range of standard fabricated products, or any number of alternative technologies, to provide the required cleanliness level. Packages can be fully self-cleaning or manual with options for full process flow, or side-stream filtration for fluid laundering

Our expertise enables us to customize designs for a whole range of fluids, from Potable Water through Seawater, Water Glycol mixtures, and Oils including Grease. The designs allow for performance in harsh environments, such as marine, offshore, and aggressive industrial applications. We are also used to working to high-level specifications required on military systems.

All the skids are manufactured in-house in an ISO 9001:2015 quality-controlled environment by fully coded welders with the ability to provide systems covering most materials from Carbon Steel to Copper Nickel and Duplex Stainless Steels.

All systems are fully tested before despatch and we can accommodate third-party inspections at any stage of the manufacturing process.

The attached drawing illustrates an example of a skid designed specifically to provide filtered water for use on seal lubrication and cooling on a Hydropower application.
