Hellan Fluid Systems Secures Contract for Homer City Project

Hellan Fluid Systems has been awarded a contract to supply Hellan Strainers on Boiler feed water and SSI Fabricated strainers on Chilled Water applications for the Homer City Energy Campus project in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, one of the most significant energy infrastructure redevelopments currently underway in the United States.

The project is repurposing the former Homer City Generating Station into a large-scale natural gas-powered energy and data center campus designed to support hyperscale computing, artificial intelligence, and regional power generation. Once complete, the site is expected to deliver up to 4.4 gigawatts of capacity, positioning it among the largest projects of its kind.

Under the contract, Hellan will provide Hellan and SSI strainers supporting critical fluid systems across the facility. Hellan was selected based on its proven ability to deliver reliable, engineered filtration solutions for high-demand, mission-critical applications where operational continuity is essential.

This award reflects growing confidence in Hellan’s role as a trusted partner for complex, large-scale infrastructure projects. As energy generation and digital infrastructure increasingly intersect, dependable fluid system performance becomes critical to overall plant reliability, efficiency, and uptime. Hellan’s involvement underscores the company’s alignment with the evolving needs of modern energy and data-driven facilities.

The Homer City Energy Campus represents a major investment in modernizing U.S. energy infrastructure, significantly reducing emissions compared to the site’s former coal operations while creating long-term economic value for the region.

This contract further reinforces Hellan Fluid Systems’ position as a trusted supplier to EPCs, owners, and operators executing technically demanding energy projects across North America.
