Type DA

In-Line Flow Body, Two Screens

Available in 4″, 6″, 8″ 10″ and 12″ models.  Providing hands-free operation, Type DA automatic strainers employ two electric motor-driven rotating screens and rigid scraper bars to remove solids from the screen's surface when rotated. A solids-collecting sump is also provided. The Type DA is cleaned when the motor and the flush valve operator are actuated. (Controls to accomplish these functions are required.)

The cleaning cycle must be performed while the strainer is under positive pressure.  Type “DA” automatic strainers can be installed in the vertical (up-flow) position as shown, or horizontally with both screens in the horizontal plane and the sump flush connection, preferably on the bottom.

Type QA

In-Line Flow Body, Four Screens

Available in 14″ and 16″ models.  Providing hands-free operation, Type QA automatic strainers employ four electric motor-driven rotating screens and rigid scraper bars to remove solids from the screen's surface when turned. A solids-collecting sump is also provided. Cleaning of the Type QA is initiated when the motor and the flush valve operator are actuated. (Controls to accomplish these functions are required.)

The cleaning cycle must be performed while the strainer is under positive pressure.  Type “QA” strainers are preferably installed in the vertical (up-flow) position as shown.

Type AA

Angled Flow Body, Single Screen

Providing hands-free operation, Type AA automatic strainers employ a single, electric motor-driven rotating screen and a rigid scraper bar to remove solids from the screen's surface when turned. A solids-collecting sump is also provided. Cleaning of the Type AA is initiated when the motor and the flush valve operator are actuated.

The cleaning cycle must be performed while the strainer is under positive pressure. Type “AA” automatic strainers are preferably installed in the vertical down-flow position as illustrated.
